Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Almie Inc. ("we", "us") sets out below how we handle user information in the following software (the "Service"):
- BizAgent (Visual Studio Code extension
yohei1996.biz-agent) - BizAgent Desktop (desktop application)
- BizAgent Importer (Chrome extension)
1. Basic Policy
Your tasks, documents, meeting notes and other data in the Service are stored as files on your own computer. We do not collect their contents on our servers.
2. Information Obtained Through Google Account Sign-in
Only when you sign in with your Google account, the Service requests the following permissions. Each permission is requested only when a feature that needs it is used.
| Permission (scope) | Information accessed | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
openid / email | Your Google account identifier and email address | Confirming sign-in status; determining your organization in the Skill Library |
documents.readonly | Contents of Google Docs you specify | Importing documents as tasks or meeting notes |
drive.readonly | Lists and contents of folders and files you specify | Importing meeting-note files; loading custom commands |
drive.file | Files created by the Service or opened by you with the Service | Uploading HTML files and documents to Google Drive when you instruct it to |
calendar.readonly | Event titles, times and attendees | Showing your calendar; linking meetings to tasks |
The information obtained is processed only on your computer and is never stored on our servers.
Limited Use of Information Received from Google APIs
BizAgent's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not use the information for any purpose other than providing and improving the features described above.
- We do not use the information for serving advertisements or for analyzing users for advertising purposes.
- We do not sell or provide the information to third parties (except as required by law).
- Our staff do not read the information (except with your consent, for security investigations, or as required by law).
- We do not use the information to train AI or machine-learning models.
Storage of Authentication Tokens
Access tokens and refresh tokens issued by Google are stored in a secure storage area on your computer (Visual Studio Code SecretStorage). Sign-in and token refresh pass through our server (Google Cloud Functions), which only relays the tokens and does not store them.
Skill Library
When you open the Skill Library (learning.bizagent.app), the Service sends your access token to our server. The server asks Google about the token to confirm your email address and the token's issuer, and uses this only to decide which skills are available to you. The token is kept in the server's memory for at most five minutes and is not stored.
3. Usage Statistics
To improve the product, the Service sends the following information to Google Analytics 4. It does not send information that identifies you personally, nor the contents of your tasks or documents.
- Usage events, such as how often features are used
- Error types (error messages and file paths are not sent)
- Hashed task identifiers (task names are not sent)
- Extension version
- A random identifier per device (in Visual Studio Code, a hash of the machine ID)
In Visual Studio Code, nothing is sent when the editor's telemetry setting is disabled. BizAgent Desktop currently has no setting to stop sending. If you would like it stopped, please contact us at the address below.
4. BizAgent Importer (Chrome Extension)
BizAgent Importer sends the Slack messages, Google Docs and Sheets, meeting notes, X (Twitter) posts and page text that you explicitly select only to BizAgent running on your own computer (localhost:3100). It does not send them to our servers. The only thing stored in the browser is the connection setting.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
Except as required by law, we do not provide your information to third parties. The Service uses Google services (Google Cloud, Google Analytics and Google APIs), to which Google's privacy policy applies.
6. Deleting Your Data
- Your data in the Service is on your computer and is removed when you delete the files.
- You can disconnect your Google account by signing out of the Service or from Third-party connections in your Google Account. After disconnecting, the stored tokens can no longer be used.
- To request deletion of usage statistics, please contact us at the address below.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will announce it on this page.
